This event is a great way to kick-off the summer and provides an opportunity for divers to go through their dives lists in a fairly relaxed venue, but get the feel of a meet. It also provides officials, table-workers and even spectators a warm-up for the rest of the season. The team scoring format for this meet ensures that each team has a great opportunity to score points as the top sixteen divers in each event will earn points for their team (ranging from 20 points for 1st place to 1 point for 16th place). History has shown that this format of 16 divers per team and points earned by 16 places per event (Freshman Girls, Freshman Boys, etc.) ensures all teams earn points and provides a competitive experience. We will have place-specific ribbons for the top 6 places and participation ribbons for the rest. Here are the specifics: Invitees: Hunt Valley, North Springfield, Orange Hunt, Parliament, Ravensworth, Rolling Hills, Springboard, Springfield and Walden Glen # of Divers: 16 per team Volunteers: Similar to any NVSL Dive meet (Referee, Judges, Table Officials are all needed, asking for at least 1 judge and 1 table worker per team) Cost: $30 per team (to cover costs) Concessions: Breakfast and Lunch fare Estimated Schedule Start Time: 7:00 am — Open Warm-ups 7:40 am — Freshman Girl Warm-ups 8:00 am — Meet Begins |
