On Sunday, 25 July, we’ll host our end of season Swim and Dive Team Banquet from 6-9ish pm at the pool. This event is for ALL swimmers and divers, from our minis through our seniors, to celebrate their hard work and accomplishments this season. No lifeguards will be on duty…therefore, this is a non-swimming event. Typically our swimmers and divers dress up a bit for this event, but there is no dress code.

The potluck dinner will begin at 6pm with awards beginning around 7:15. We hope to start the slide show at dark.

How can you help? Here are the details:

• A-H please bring a main dish (serving 10-12) to share
• I-Z please bring a side (serving 10-12) to share
• Everyone is invited to bring a dessert to share (serving 4-6)

PLEASE HAVE YOUR DISHES TO THE POOL BY 5:45, so we can start promptly at 6!!

SETUP and CLEANUP. We’ll only have 1 hour between pool closure at 5 to set up the pool deck before banquet starts at 6. The Belloni and Hunter families have graciously offered to lead the set up. They’ll be in need of some folding tables and extra hands to help set everything up. For cleanup, we’ll ask all to pitch in and help cleanup when the festivities conclude.

PHOTOS! We have some very talented people putting together a slideshow of the swim and dive season. Please upload your photos from the season to our Shutterfly. You can do this from your home computer or the Shutterfly share sites app (if you have it on your phone).

THANK THE COACHES! Every year, we collect personalized thank you cards for the coaches, crafted by the swimmers and divers. The team reps will have paper/markers/pens at practices next week for the kids to work on cards…or you are welcome to make them at home and drop them off at practice. We’ll have some cool boxes at the pool for your kids to drop them off over the next week. Coaches love these personal notes from the kids to commemorate the swim and dive season! (Please note, as part of our swim and dive budget, we have set aside monies to gift to the coaches separately)

First Annual Panther 13+ Progressive Dinner

Who: Our mature and sophisticated swimmers and divers, 13 years of age and older

What: This progressive dinner will be hosted by several Panther families that live within walking distance of the pool. Swimmers and Divers will visit 4 homes (short walks between each home), dining on a different course at each home. After a delicious progressive meal, the kids will head to Parliament Pool to conclude.

When: Sat, 17 Jul (4:30pm – 9pm)

Attire: Summer Dressy Casual (nice khaki shorts/polo; sundress)

Progressive Dinner Route:

1) Appetizers hosted by the Hunter Family (8722 Parliament Dr) ~30 minutes

2) Appetizers hosted by the Caines Family (8620 Victoria Road) ~30 minutes

3) Main Course hosted by the Smith Family (8606 Clydesdale Road) ~45 minutes

4) Dessert hosted by the Avila Family (5307 Southampton Drive) ~30 minutes

5) Finish with a swim at Parliament Pool
